Classroom Life I found this website http://www.flashmo.com/ where you can create your own flashwebsite for free. The website gives you flash templates to work from. Also it has css templates on the home page that you can download and use. You can purchase some “Premium Templates” but there is no reason to. There are plenty free ones to choose from.

Classroom Life Need a free HTML editor? Head over to http://www.aptana.org/
At first glance, Aptana may seem like a Ruby on Rails editor. Dig a little deeper and you’ll see that it supports plug-ins. Keep reading. Aptana has full HTML support complete with code completion. Along with HTML, Aptana can be used to edit JavaScript, Adobe Air, PHP, Ajax, Ruby, Perl, and has support for many code libraries including JQuery, Scriptaculous, and Prototype.
Along with these nice tools, Aptana has a built in FTP client to easily and painlessly edit the files on your webspace. If you want to test your site without uploading it, Aptana has built-in previews using Firefox and IE engines, so you can test your site on both browsers without ever opening them on your computer.
So head over to their website and download Aptana for free.

Classroom Life I was recently told about a website that everyone will love. If you just start listening to these amazing sound effects you will be on this website for hours. Sound-effect.com is a website that has almost any sound effect you can find from vomiting, to gun shots, to even animals and amusement parks. You have to buy these sound effects to use in a website or a movie, but you can just have fun listening to them for free! This is a great website and I think everyone should check it out.

Classroom Life,
What's on my mind As senior year comes to a close I realize how much of school I will miss. Knowing that Monday thru Friday you have school and knowing that you will most likely see your friends. Now that the year is up I worry on wether my friends and I will stay friends. I can only hope as much. As for classes I am definitely going to miss web design. I believe it was by far my favorite class throughout high school and i’m not just kissing butt with that one. Mr Melito is an awesome teacher and I have certainly learned a lot from him. I hope to go to college for web design and have it be a career. I am certainly going to miss high school. Especially the classes that I love taking. But who says I can’t return? I might come by for a visit. I am sure Mr Melito is ‘excited’ about that haha.

Classroom Life,
What's on my mind I came to Citrus High as a new student this year but I wasn’t really looking foreward to anything but graduating. I still tried my hardest at everything that I did, even though by the end of the year my senioritis started kicking in and I didn’t feel like doing anything. I made a really good friend named Hanna, and I kept my old friends back home- the ones who really matter. I also had a lot of really great classes this year.. One of which was Mr. Melito’s Web I and II class. I really got into webdesign because my sister is a professional web designer and I was interested in knowing a little bit about what she was doing. I soon found out though that I am really good at designing, and although I still don’t know how to make a table… I know how to use the copy and paste method, lol. I came out with a lot of really great websites and a clear understanding in webdesign.
Although it feels like I just got to Citrus, I am still looking foreward to graduation and whatever lies ahead in my life. Good luck to everyone next year! Congrats class of 2009! WE DID IT!

Classroom Life,
Cool Internet Finds Big Huge Labs is a cool website to use to create different objects or looks with your pictures. In my opinion, one of the coolest tools on big hugh labs, is the Palette Generator. You upload the picture that you have chosen to the website, and use the generator. It tells you the colors that are in your photo.

I have seen through many different websites, that the Warholizer tool has become very popular. So you don’t know how, or don’t want to take the time to actually create one. This website has it.

The website has many many more different tools that you can use to create effects to your pictures.

Classroom Life Wow I cant believe its the end of the year already, it came so fast. I have been in Web Design the whole year, starting with Web Design 1 then ending with Web Design 2 and I honestly loved it. Last year this time when I put Web Design down on my schedule just to fill a spot, I had no clue about a web site and what all it takes to make one. I really thought it would be boring, pointless and easy. But when I got here I soon found out that it was definately none of the above. Web Design started out very challenging for me and I hated it, you had to pay attention to every little detail, it was very frustrating. But once I got the little things down, and I was showed a bunch of shortcuts and DREAMWEAVER! it became a piece of cake and lots of fun. I realized that with the things you learn in Web Design, you can really do some cool and interesting things to a Web site. I have the most respect for someone who has the patience to sit down and make one. After learning the things I know now, i will probably use some of those things in the future just for fun or something, but trust me I will NEVER look at another Web site the same EVER again.

Classroom Life This last semester in Wed design II we have been working out of “the web collection revealed” book. In this book there are chapters with different work to be done on macromedia Dreamweaver 8. Adobe Dreamweaver (formerly Macromedia Dreamweaver) is a web development application originally created by Macromedia, and is now developed by Adobe Systems, who acquired Macromedia in 2005. We work on making a web site for a spa called the striped umbrella, and all its links. Each chapter gives you step by step instructions on what to do and how to do it. We will soon take the Certification Exam for Dreamweaver and hopefully by the end of this class we will be certified in this field. When I leave this class I will be skilled in making my own websites by scratch and also editing web sites.
