Dude, Xbox 360 FTW. Hands down.
RROD is all but extinct, the new Xbox Live Experience is epic, and the game library is equivalent to that of the PS2 back during the last generation of consoles dominated the market.
Your pro point is that you can "import" media over onto the system. I don't know what "import" means because I've been using an Xbox 360 that automatically syncs up to my computer and immediately gives me access to the video, picture, and music files that live in the neighborhood called My Hard Drive.
The games situation for you is pretty weak. If the only games you play on the PS3 are MGS4, CoD4, and GTA4 (Is it just me, or do you find it funny that all of those games are actually the 6 console entry for the franchise, yet they still call it "4"? ANYWAY..) then chances are you will probably end up playing CoD4, GTA4, and MGS5 (when it comes out: http://tinyurl.com/l2kavh )
because you really don't seem to be into games that are console specific. Halo = Killzone all things summarized, So there is no unequal balance in the force there.
To me, it seems there is no choice with this question. Xbox 360.
I stand behind that 100%.
XBL > PSN

Xbox Live Avatars > [username]
Awesome > Weak

Hope this aides your decision.
Cheers,

All who have an xbox live account doesn't realize the why nots of putting your credit card into your system. For me i have had many problems for this and have had to jump many loops to just find out how to take it off. I first did the month by month paying by my credit card i put into my xbox 360. I just added the numbers in with my controller and that's where it all started. Then after that i couldn't modify anything with my billing or buying things with it even though i already had it plugged in it still asked for me to add another card. Then i tried deleting it from my xbox and an information box popped up saying go the the website to take it off. Well when you get to the website the only thing you can do is get the number to call xbox live. With an average of at least 2 hours call waiting for multiple calls to them your not going to get this done quick. Then you will get some arabian on the phone with just basic language on the phone and not understand you. So just don't add your credit card online through your xbox unless you want to devote a whole day of about 6-10 hours trying to take out of your system.
