Stumble Upon

So I was doing the final exam and looking for HTML color codes that would be kinda useful. I happend to stumble upon http://colorschemedesigner.com/ it is very cool you can pick diffrent types or color schemes from a mono color scheme to a anologic whatever that means and it gives you all the hex codes for those specific colors. It saves alot of time playing with code to try and figure out diffrent colors that go well withthe prime color. you can also adjust the contrast of all the colors to make them a darker tone or make them lighter for a cheery website. you can also preview what your site would look like with that scheme with their pre-made viewing template.Also Melito they can also make the schemes for color blind people so you see the true colors instead of orange being maroon.

Web Design

I have went from knowing nothing about how a website is made, to being able to make one, over the past 27 weeks. It has been an interesting learning experience and one that I know I will use for along time to come. It went from learning basic html to now knowing about CSS and Java. It hasn’t been the easiest or simplest thing to learn, but it has been fun. Even though sometimes it makes you want to pull your hair out and yell profane things at your computer, it is still fun.

Amazon, more like Amazing

Have you ever heard of amazon.com? Well I just recently discovered it and let me tell you, it is absolutely amazing. This site sells everything from under wear to night vision goggles, and the best thing about it is everything is way less then retail price. Lets say you go to a store like Wal-mart and you want to get a game, well here at good ole wally world it’s 60 bucks. Well if you go home and check Amazon you can get it for 40-50 dollars. Lastly, this site is great to get things you’ve always wanted, and their new. Check it out.

IMDB

IMDB stands for Internet Movie Database, and is a great website for someone who is looking for information on movies. Members can rate movies from 1-10 and the results are shown on the page of that movie. All the information you need to know about a movie is on this site, including awards its won, the cast, filming location, and trivia about the movie.

Think Geek!

Think Geek, or www.thinkgeek.com, is a website that is a true mecca for the common “geek”. A monolithic site that contains strange gadgets for everyday use. I don’t know about you, but I think a site that offers a homemade peanut-butter maker or a pocket knife with 99 functions is pretty interesting. Think Geek also has a lot of computer tech items, such as Ethernet locator’s and wi-fiboosters. Overall, the website is definitely something that’s worth taking a gander at. Hope you enjoy it!

Perfectionist’s dilemma

Every time I attempt to make a website, I usually have the problems that nobody else in the room has. For some reason no matter what I do, I have the irritating dilemmas that I can never figure out. I spend maybe about ten minutes by myself trying to figure out why my picture isn’t working on my page, or why my video isn’t loading, what-have-you. After the span of about ten minutes, I am so frustrated I end up yelling for Mr. Melito to come and save me from pulling my hair out. He usually does. It always turns out that I have made a simple mistake; like naming my picture file “locaton” instead of “location”. I simply laugh at myself and continue with whatever it is that I was doing…
Then, it happens again. I’m about to throw the kid next to me because I am so aggravated…. And Mr. Melito saves me.

So, here is to you Mr. Melito… for putting up with my perfectionist antics, I thank you.

WEB Design

So far in web2 I have learned how to use so many more coding programs, that help me with the design and layout of my web pages. I have learned shortcut tools that help me speed up the design process so that way i have more time to work on the layout and design. The atmosphere of this class is very calm cool and collected and stress free, which makes it very easy to use your creativity. This is a class that teaches a subject that i would like to do when i get out of high school, and its deffinitly a carrer that i want to base my life around.

Web Design

 This year i learned a lot about coding websites. we used java script and CSS. Alleycode makes coding so simple. I made Some really cool web pages about my self. Mr. Melito lets us take our thoughts and ideas and put them into a general web site that he gives directions for. If you have any interests in computers or just think it would be fun to learn how to make web sites then you definately should take web design. When you leave this class you will be able to code a website however you want.

WebDesign :)

So far, after this first 9 weeks, i am glad that i decided to take Web Design. I have learned so much, in so little time. From CSS to Javascript we have learned how to use each program. I am really glad that we learned about CSS, it makes creating web-pages much much easier. Not having to change the font to every sentence, i am all for that.

 One thing that i liked the most was that, Mr.Melito let us use our own ideas for every project that we did. We would have a certain direction, but mostly everything that was on our pages was our own work. We also had time to have fun, so it wasn’t always work, work, work.

Anyone that wants to take Web Design but isn’t sure if they should. It’s a great class, and you also have fun. Just don’t ask Chase for any help.

Free css

CSS or (cascading style sheets). the Styles define how to display HTML elements and Multiple style definitions will cascade into one style sheet. In my time in class i found that you can simply go to google and search free css and you will get a list of options. The website i used was http://www.freecsstemplates.org/. it was very usefull and you can pick a layout of any website you want and you can edit it to how ever you like.
